Loxton High School is a very special place for students to learn and develop as responsible young adults.  Our five core values underpin all aspects of school life.  As a school we are clearly focussed on providing opportunities for students to experience success and achieve their full potential.

 Loxton High School is a rural High School in the Riverland district. It is located approximately 250 km north east of Adelaide. The school caters for students from Years 8 to 12 and in 2007 the enrolment is  620 students. Our enrolments are expected to continue to increase in the coming years.

YOUTH ALLOWANCE ELIGIBILITY:

The Loxton High School Governing Council requests that all parents send the following email to Kevin Rudd and Julia Gillard with a CC to Malcolm Turnbull, Nick Xenophon, Steve Fielding, Patrick Secker and Barnaby Joyce.

"As rural parents we totally oppose the proposed changes to the Youth.

Youth Allowance eligibility as proposed in the most recent Federal budget.  We further request equity for rural Federal budget.  We further request equity for rural students through the adoption of the recommendations through the adoption of the recommendations from the 2005 Senate inquiry into Student Income Support."
